Pleasantview

Pleasantview takes its name from the hill at its centre, where the view stretches all the way to downtown. Development began in the 1950s on unusually large lots, a legacy still visible today in the mix of mid-century homes, custom infill, and newer builds along its tree-lined streets. The neighbourhood is bounded by 111 Street, Calgary Trail, 61 Avenue, and 51 Avenue. It’s home to roughly 4,052 residents across 2,072 dwellings, with easy access to Southgate Centre, LRT transit, and the University of Alberta. Since 1946, the Pleasantview Community League has anchored local life, running a community hall, outdoor rink, and tennis courts for residents.
